Alyssa Milano Invited Into 'Castle'

After prolonged flirtatious and passive-aggressive relationship, something comes in between Richard and Kate.

Before Alyssa Milano goes full throttle with her new acting vehicle, she will visit ABC's "Castle" first. The actress has been signed to play a former love interest of Nathan Fillion's Richard Castle and stir things up between Castle and detective Kate Beckett in an episode called "A Rose for Everafter".

How Milano will contribute to the story is not given elaborately but EW said that Richard reconnects with Milano's Kyra on her wedding day and "sparks fly". Her appearance is only scheduled to air in early 2010 when the show returns for the second part of season 2. The shooting, however, will begin as early as next week. "Castle" received a back-nine order in October which leads the show to have a full 22-episode season.

Alyssa Milano, famous as one of the sisters of "Charm", will be tackling a new role on ABC's "Romantically Challenged". An obviously romantic comedy, it is part of the network's plan for midseason 2010 line-up. Milano is a girlfriend of a 30-something man who is played by Kyle Bornheimer.
