PGA Golfer Erica Blasberg Death

A Las Vegas physician who found the body of the golfer Erica Blasberg, 25, after she committed suicide pleaded guilty to misdemeanor obstruction. Henderson Municipal Judge Diana Hampton sentenced Dr. Thomas Hess to one year of probation and 40 hours of community service. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Hess told the authorities that he removed a suicide note and prescription medications from Blasberg’s home before the police arrived to investigate her death last May. Hess said he wanted to spare her family embarrassment.

Erica Paige Blasberg (July 14, 1984 – May 9, 2010) was an American golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Blasberg was born in Orange, California,[1] and raised in Corona, California. She attended Corona High School where she played on the boys' golf team.
