Catwalk debut: Kylie Jennifer made her runway debut at the Abbey Dawn show today in New York City
If Kylie Jenner was nervous about her catwalk debut at New York Fashion Week, she didn't let it show.
The 14-year-old half-sister of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob Kardashian strutted down the Abbey Dawn runway today looking poised and confident.
Her black mini-dress with a tulle, ballerina-like overlay was pure pop-punk princess; it seemed like something Avril Lavigne might wear.
The clapping Kardashians: they support one another as a family
This makes sense, given that the 26-year-old Sk8r Boi singer actually designed the collection, which was presented at Style 360 in New York City Monday.
How did the youngest Kardashian sister land the gig? It helps that Lavigne is dating her half-brother, Brody Jenner.
Aside from favouring a model that's related to her boyfriend, Kylie actually is the perfect girl for the job.
Family support: Kendall, Kourtney, Kim, Kris Humphries and Brody Jenner all cheered from the front row
Lavigne's line, which is designed exclusively for Kohl's, is predominantly for younger girls; it featured prominently in the singer's 2011 What The Hell music video.
She walked down the runway to cheers and screams from siblings Kendall, Kourtney, Brody and Kim, as well as the newlywed's husband, Kris Humphries, like a pro.
She didn't seem nervous before the job, either.
Get it, girl: Kim, 30, makes a crazy face while cheering on her younger sis
The designer is in: Avril Lavigne designed the Abbey Dawn collection
Prim and proper: Kim and Kourtney looked elegant as they left their hotel to head to the show
Nervous: Kylie was spotted in New York ahead of the show today with sister Kendall
The young model was dressed down in a simple grey T-shirt, black jeggings and lace-up boots as she popped back to her big sisters Kim and Kourtney's hotel to prepare.
She also wore a big grin on her face, perhaps because she had just paid a visit to Dylan Lauren's candy boutique, Dylan's Candy Bar.
Although candy and confidence clearly go hand-in-hand, her self-assurance might have come from the support of her family, who took to Twitter to wish her luck.
Pretty as a picture: the sisters posed up with together after the show
Although it may sometimes seem as if the universe focuses on the Kardashians, the family members were not the only celebrities to attend the fashion shows today.
Nicki Minaj, Rose McGowan, Leann Rimes, Sophia Bush, Leven Rambin and Alexis Bledel all attended the shows at Lincoln Centre.
Renee Zellweger was also present to pay homage to her favourite designer, Carolina Herrerra.
Fashionista: Kendall, who is also a model, led the way out of the show looking stylish in a pretty white dress
Pretty in pearl: Renee Zellweger and Olivia Munn pose together at the Carolina Herrerra show
Country girl: Leann Rimes attends Michael Bastian's Spring 2012 show
