A number of fresh stills and on-set photos have given out more look at director Louis Leterrier's remake of 1981 Greek mythology film in addition to unveiling Liam Neeson's portrayal of Zeus.
A batch of new photos for "Clash of the Titans" has been found. Five of the overall eight fresh images are stills from the action fantasy and are featured in the latest issue of Empire Magazine. The rest of them, meanwhile, are pictures from the set and are included in the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly.
All of the five stills present the leading character played by Sam Worthington, Perseus. Running amidst fire around him, leading a band of warrior and taking a hide behind a broken down pillar are some of the scenes he is seen in the photos. Meanwhile, most of the on-set pictures give out first look at Liam Neeson as Zeus.
In a quotation tagging along the photos, director Louis Leterrier explained how Neeson got involved, saying "Liam's sons were like, 'You get to play Zeus, that's cool, Dad, do it!' That's why he took the job." He also praised the actor, "[We had] the hottest week in England this summer, but Liam was such a trouper. He never complained. He always had little fans blowing in his face but he never said, 'I want to take off this armor.' He stayed in character as Zeus."
"Clash of the Titans" is a modern version of the 1981 Greek mythology film. It revolves around Perseus. Helpless to save his family from Hades, he volunteers to lead a mission to defeat the vengeful god of the underworld before Hades can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth.
