Ryan Reynolds: 'Green Lantern' Is Months Away From Shooting

Proposal' also confirms that he will reprise his Deadpool role from 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' in the character's solo movie.

The filming of "Green Lantern" could be kicked off in about four or five months, so claimed Ryan Reynolds. When paying a visit to "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" recently, the leading man of "The Proposal" told host Jimmy Fallon about the possibility. "I'm 4-5 months away from beginning shooting," so he claimed.

The 32-year-old further mentioned that he has to remain tight-lipped about the project. "It's crazy, it's the only job I've ever had that I'm not allowed to really talk about," he explained why. "I think there's like a representative from Warner Brothers who I'm sure is following me around ready to blow-dart me if I say a single word. I probably have a chip in me somewhere, like if I start talking about it, I'll just pass away."

Though so, Reynolds managed to share the superpower of his character. "A lot of [the film] is sort of like a space epic and some of it is on planet Earth," he explained, "[Green Lantern] has this ring and he's been chosen to have this power and the ring can kind of create anything that his will or his imagination can conjure up."

On the occasion, the husband of actress Scarlett Johansson made time to confirm his involvement in "Deadpool". "At this point, it just makes you like an Internet hero, nothing really more than that," he commented when stating that he will reprise his Wade Wilson role from "X-Men Origins: Wolverine".

"Green Lantern" is a fictional character found in comic books published by DC Comics. The main character, Jordan Hall, is an ordinary man who was chosen by a dying alien named Abin Sur to receive a green energy-powered ring, used for protecting the planet. Martin Campbell takes the directing job for the film. It is planned to be released in U.S. on June 17, 2011.
