Demi Moore reveals how she texted her way into Ashton Kutcher's heart

They're both prolific tweeters who use social-networking site Twitter to report every aspect of their daily lives to their followers.

So it's of no surprise to discover that Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher started their relationship by text messages.

Demi, 47, made the revelation as she appeared on morning talk show, Live with Regis and Kelly, in New York this morning.

The actress was appearing on the show to promote her new film The Joneses, when she got talking about Kutcher, 32.

She said they started a text relationship when they finally got together but admitted that when they first met, Kutcher paid no attention to her.

Speaking to hosts Regis Philbin, 78, and Kelly Ripa, 39, she said: 'The first night I met him he didn't have two words to say to me - he had a singular focus and it was on somebody else.'

But she said it all went her way when they met again just two weeks later and ended up in a big party back at Ashton's hotel room.

Demi said she had popped out of the room to 'call my children to say goodnight'.

She added: 'All of a sudden the door to the hotel opened and he said, "That is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard" and closed the door.

'And I said, "OK, this is somebody different".'

She said they soon began a text relationship, before proudly adding: 'And now we've been together seven years', before laughing off how everyone initially said their relationship was nothing more than a 'publicity stunt'.

But she then got viewers spluttering into their morning coffee when she gave away what many would have said was too much information.

She was asked to reveal her 'beauty, diet and exercise regime' to which she responded: 'Lots of sex!'

Demi, who looked stunning in a short patterned dress that showed off her long toned legs, was praised by her hosts for looking 'so gorgeous'.

Just a few hours earlier she appeared on ABC's news and talk show Good Morning America where she spoke about her charity work in Haiti.

Demi joined fellow actors Ben Stiller, Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon in the earthquake-stricken country this week on behalf of Artists for Peace and Justice
