Legally Blonde bombshell Sheridan Smith basks in the sun on Miami break

Where's a good spot? Book in hand, Sheridan Smith makes her way into her Miami hotel pool to sit in the sun and catch up on her reading


She's spent the last few weeks starring in West End musical Legally Blonde.

So it was no wonder Sheridan Smith was in need of a little rest and relaxation on a Miami sunshine break

James Corden's ex has been staying at the Delano Hotel in the city's trendy South Beach district for the last two weeks.

Sadly for her, her holiday has now come to an end. But the 28-year-old seemed determined to make the most of every last moment yesterday, relaxing by the pool with a book and enjoying the warm water.

She showed off her figure in a white bikini with a black trim.

Sheridan arrived in Miami on her own but was joined halfway through by her theatre director and choreographer friend Rachael Picar.

In between sunning herself and no doubt partying in many of South Beach's nightclubs, Sheridan has been keeping her Twitter followers up to date by posting several Tweets from across the Pond.

Last Sunday, she wrote: 'Miami is really cool,the Delano hotel is stunning! And my lovely friend has just arrived to join me for the last leg of the party!.'

On Tuesday, she rubbed their faces in it some more and wrote: 'Sitting by the pool of the Delano in the blazing heat. As much as I miss you all, I really don't want to come home!'

But this morning's Tweet told a different tale when she said: 'The eagle has landed...back home in rainy London :( Mum was at mine tho when i walked in with a nice cuppa tea! And so good to see my dogs.'

An hour later, as she headed to bed for a nap, she added: 'On stage 2night...hope I remember it! What if I don't fit the costumes?I've eaten quite a lot! Need to sleep more 2, very jetlagged. Night x'

Sheridan plays the lead role of Elle Woods in the musical at the Savoy Theatre which is based on the film of the same name starring Reese Witherspoon, 34.

While she was sunning herself by the pool in Florida, she was replaced by actress Amy Lennox, who usually plays the role of Elle's best friend Margot.

And thankfully, she impress the die-hard fans with her understudy performance, with one writing on the theatre's forum: 'Went to see Legally again tonight and Amy was on playing Elle this time. A very different performance to Sheridan's but she did a good job and I was impressed.'

Sheridan flew back this morning - and will be back on stage again tonight.
