Stylish: Sarah Jessica Parker collects her son James Wilkie from his New York school today
At the weekend it was a very casual affair for Sarah Jessica Parker as she played with her twins in the park.
But today there was not a pair of tracksuit bottoms in sight as the actress headed out on the school run, looking like she meant business.
The 45-year-old Sex And The City star was wearing a colourful ensemble, consisting of a blue coat, a striped black and white dress, teamed with a purple scarf, a red bag and black peep-toe heels.
Earlier in the day she was seen running errands in the SoHo neighbourhood of the city, carrying a large envelope and folders under her arm as she headed to an office block.
Later it was time to turn to her parenting duties as she collected her and husband Matthew Broderick's seven-year-old son James Wilkie from his New York school.
Sarah is known for her love of fashion, but at the weekend she played it very low key when she took her 15-month-old twins Marion and Tabitha out for the day to a playground close to their home.

Accompanied by a nanny, she held Marion's hand as the little girl excitedly ran through the playground.
Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell were born via surrogate mother in June last year.
Parker has since been busy juggling her young family with the demands of a busy working life - she was often away from the girls while filming Sex and the City 2 in Morocco last year.

'It's been amazing but complicated because of my current work schedule, which I have enormous regrets about,' she said about filming the movie.
''It's the eternal conflict of every working woman. And I'm not complaining because I've done this to myself. The great challenge for me is to be all things to all people.'
Parker is next rumoured to be starring in the lead role in The Ivy Chronicles, based on a book by Karen Quinn, which tells the story of a woman who starts a new life for herself and her children after her husband dies.
She is also said to have been lined up for another romantic comedy called A Family Affair.
