Setenil de las Bodegas, Rock City in Spain

Rock City in Spain

Setenil de las Bodegas, about 18 km away from Ronda in the province of Cadiz, has wedged itself between the cliffs eroded by the Rio Trejo river. The old houses especially are built under the cliff overhang and the newer ones against the hillside.

The name Setenil developed from the the Latin septem nihil – “seven times no” – which refers back to the period of the Christian reconquest, when Catholic kings tried to win back territory from the Moors, who had come from Africa and ruled the Iberian peninsula since 711. In Setenil’s case, only the seventh reconquest attempt was successful, in 1485, making the city one of the last bastions of the Moors until they were driven out of western Europe in 1492.

Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas

Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas

The Fountains of Bellagio is a vast, choreographed water feature with performances set to light and music. The performances take place in front of the Bellagio hotel and are visible from numerous vantage points on the Strip, both from the street and neighboring structures. The show takes place every 30 minutes in the afternoons and early evenings, and every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight. Before a water show starts, a gong sounds to warn people that the show is about to start. Exceptions: a single or string of shows may be withheld when winds prevail; a single show may be skipped to avoid interference with a planned event.

Bellagio is an AAA Five-Diamond, Mobil Five-Star rated luxury hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in the Paradise area of unincorporated Clark County, Nevada, USA.

Beautiful Temple:

Dhyanalinga Yogic Temple

The Dhyanalinga is a Yogic temple located 30 km (19 mi) from Coimbatore, India. The building was established by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, a yogi. The temple is consecrated using prana prathista and is dedicated for meditation. Silence is maintained inside the temple.

The architectural style is different from a conventional Hindu temple. A large ellipsoidal dome covers the sanctum sanctorum instead of a conventional Gopuram. The dome was constructed using only bricks and stabilized mud mortar without any cement, steel or concrete.

The dome is 76 ft (23.2 m) in diameter and 33 ft (10.1 m) in height. The lingam is 13 ft (4 m) in height made of high density black granite.
