'I'm not too thin,' insists celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe as she reveals Size Zero frame on the beach

By Donna Mcconnell

Shrunken: Rachel Zoe revealed her severely emaciated frame on the beach in St. Barts last week with one diet doctor estimating she weighs just 5st 5lb

She was once blamed for making anorexia fashionable.

But celebrity fashion stylist Rachel Zoe's severely emaciated figure is now the one under scrutiny.

The 38-year-old showed off her shrunken frame, exposing her bony breastplace in a black bikini top on a beach in St. Barts last week.

One diet doctor estimated that Zoe weighs a dangerously thin 80 lbs (5st 7lbs).

Zoe, one of the most influential stylists in the world, who has dressed Cameron Diaz, Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan, has long maintained that she is healthy despite her shrinking frame.

But she unveiled a body which looked severely under nourished. Her arms were twiglike, and her face looked years older than her 38 years.

Dramatic difference: Rachel's figure looked healthier, and her chestbone less prominent in April 2009

Influential: Rachel with Nicole Richie last year

Compared to a picture of the stylist from April last year, she looked seriously underweight.

But Zoe has insisted: 'Truthfully, I've never seen myself as being too thin.

'Sometimes I'll look at photos and be like, 'Oh, that's not a good look. But generally speaking, I'm not too thin.'

The stylist, has her own reality television show and is in such demand that she reportedly charges $6,000 a day.

Zoe became famous as the tribe of celebrities she dressed popularised what became known as the Rachel Zoe look - tousled hair, perpetual tan, oversized sunglasses, vintage dresses, huge handbags and layered accessories.

She worked her magic on Nicole Richie who became a staple of the gossip and fashion magazines, with young women quick to emulate the Zoe look - prompting one newspaper to label the celebrities she styled 'Zoebots'.
