She's come a long way from her days of being a famous rock star's chubby teenage daughter.

In fact, Kelly Osbourne was barely recognisable as she stepped out for New York Fashion Week, looking quite literally a shadow of her former self.

The 25-year-old reality TV star looked slim and stunning in a short black leather dress and cropped jacket as she arrived at an event in the city yesterday.

Showing off her bobbed peroxide blonde hair and clutching a small beaded black bag, she was all smiles as she arrived at The Keith Haring by House of Field Paradise Collection Launch.

The day before, she looked even more slimline in a flesh-coloured dress with matching gloves, a pink sparkly hairband and her faithful pooch Sid under her arm.

She clutched onto a friend as they arrived at the Michael Angel Fall 2010 fashion show in the city's Byrant Park as she drew her coat around her Pomeranian pet to shelter him from the bitter New York wind.

Kelly has fought a long and very public battle with her figure for many years and has spoken about her drastic dieting and yo-yoing weight.

And she cites her new trim figure on gruelling rehearsals for the US reality TV show Dancing With The Stars, after she lost a stone after just three weeks of rehearsals.
She said: 'I was expecting to put on weight after the show, but I've actually lost a few more pounds. I think my metabolism is just faster now.'

She made the final three of the show last November, but was pipped to the ballroom crown by singer Donny Osmond.

But she said having shed the pounds for the show, she is keen to keep the momentum going and is happy to show off her new figure.

And what better place to do that than at New York Fashion Week where tonight she is set to hit the runway herself in Naomi Campbell's Fashion for Relief benefit.

She Tweeted this morning: 'I'm so nervous I am walking in Naomi Campbell's run way show for Haiti tonight ahhhhhh so excited!'
