Songbirds Leona Lewis and Taylor Swift lead the parade of stars arriving at Roberto Cavalli's catwalk show at Milan Fashion Week today.

The Bleeding Love star, 25, looked sleek in a little black dress, a blazer and lashings of bright pink lipstick.

She was joined at the event by Swift, 20, opted for a more experimental look in a pleated skirt, cream blouse, patterned tights and laced boots.

They were among a host of stars who sat front row at the show, including supermodel Heidi Klum, actress Rachel Bilson, Vogue editor-in-chief and George Clooney's girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis.

Cavalli's certainly dazzled the stellar crowd with his spring-summer 2011 collection, which featured fringes, beading and intricate lacing, to sex up the look of his already super-sexy styles.

Lover of the body-grabbing effect of snakeskin, Cavalli placed his latest collection in a make-believe jungle with huge plastic plants set up under a glass tent Monday behind the Arco della Pace, a Milan monument.

'Me, Cavalli, she, Jane' the designer seemed to be saying as model after model walked through the jungle in skin tight gowns and trousers to the thumping beat of a soundtrack.

Many of the outfits were barebacked, but that came as no surprise. The sex-appeal of Cavalli's latest collection comes in the intricate workmanship.

Almost every outfit is dripping with fringes, which carried over to the reptile skin shoulder bag. But if at times the fringes served as chastity curtains, the lacing did little to cover up the body.

Instead, it was used for a peek-a-boo effect on the open seams of a flared pant or the bare midriff of a gown.

On the runway, the fabrics looked like a combination of prints and beading, with a dash of real snakeskin.

But a closer look showed that the patterns were not printed but were the result of intricate embroidery matching tiny silk leaves with pearls, sequins and fringes.

Of course there was the staple snakeskin, which got its best use in the ethnic-inspired fringed shoulder bags that accompanied every outfit.

Rather than spoiling the untamed effect of the collection by weighing it down with the currently popular ethnic-inspired jewelry, Cavalli preferred simple oversized gold loop earrings.

And Armani ends the week in style...

After attending Roberto Cavalli's show, Elisabetta Canalis managed a quick change before dashing over to Georgio Armani's catwalk display.

The Italian actress swapped into a black suit before joining her boyfriend George Clooney, who looked sharp in a navy outfit.

They weren't the only power couple in the house - Megan Fox, who is the face of Armani's underwear campaign, also turned out with her husband Brian Austin Green.

Armani's show, titled La Femme Bleue, wrapped up the week of womenswear preview showings for the spring-summer 2011.

After six days of glaring color - Armani himself featured watermelon red in his Emporio collection shown earlier in the week - it was a real surprise to see a show where the brightest shade was midnight blue.

In his fashion notes, Armani said he drew inspiration for the collection from the Tuareg, the blue nomads of the desert, so called for the dark face covers worn by the men.

The designer probably has desert on his mind since the opening of his luxury hotel in Dubai earlier this year. A dunned version was projected at the end of the runway.

There were no veils on the runway, but throughout the show the models wore a blue knotted turban stolen directly from one of the Tuareg menfolk. Long shawls, like a nomad's cape, were also prominent.

The basic silhouette is fitted, with tunic tops over long skirts and trousers. At times the look is layered with small vests over jackets over a blouse, much like desert attire.

The Armani magic comes in transposing these men' s styles in ultra-feminine outfits best seen in his evening wear.

Gorgeous strapless gowns decorated with big blue bows, shine in the midnight sky, lit up by a myriad of glittering crystals and sequins. Footwear for these dramatic dresses is a totally flat cloth slipper.
