Look at me now! Chloe Mafia is virtually unrecognisable after undergoing a makeunder for Now magazine
There's been a lot of controversy surrounding X Factor contestant Chloe Mafia.
And while most of the stories surrounding the 19-year-old have been tawdry claims surrounding her personal life, many comments have been about her choice of makeup.
From the layers of heavy foundation she wore for her first audition to the ever-increasing size of her fake eyelashes throughout bootcamp, viewers took to the internet in their thousands to pass judgement on her appearance.
But now Chloe has unveiled an entirely new look after undergoing a makeunder for a magazine photoshoot.
Former look: When she auditioned for X Factor, Chloe arrived wearing heavy layers of make-up and huge fake eyelashes
The singer looks young and fresh in the shots taken for Now magazine, in which she is seen smiling confidently for the camera wearing a flattering claret red dress.
There's no sign of the dark orange fake tan Chloe became synonymous with during her time on the ITV show, or her long dark hair extensions - she instead sported a chic up 'do.
And it's not the first time mother-of-one Chloe has decided to drastically alter her appearance.
She also appeared on BBC3's Snog, Marry, Avoid last year, in which she was given another makeunder.
Exhibitionist: The red dress Chloe wears in Now is also a much more flattering outfit than ones she has sported before
Chloe was voted off X Factor before the judges' houses stage of the competition after turning up to bootcamp hungover following a heavy night out the evening before.
The full feature on Chloe appears in this week's Now magazine, out now
She then forgot some of the words to her song, a version of Rose Royce's Wishing On A Star.
She said on the show: 'I went out last night when I got here, ain't been to bed. I just feel sick.'
The teenager was at the centre of controversy during her time on the ITV show, after it was revealed she had been working as an escort.
However, Chloe has always maintained she never worked as a prostitute, despite some claims made about her former profession.
In an interview shortly after leaving the X Factor, Chloe said: ''I'm definitely not a prostitute. I have never taken money for sex, that’s not what I do.
'What I do is called paid to party, where you get paid to go out with a group of people do dancing, do different things, you do not sleep with anyone for money, that’s not the situation.'
Following photographs which appeared to show her snorting a substance which resembled cocaine, Chloe said: 'What happened is my friend rang me, we were meant to be really close friends, she told me “I’ve split up with my boyfriend, come to this hotel, I really want to see you.”
'I went there and she was upset and I was upset because of all the things in the newspaper. Another girl, who I’ve never met before, was putting it [cocaine] on the table and I had a couple of lines.
'I’m so so stupid for even doing it.'
Asked what she was planning to do next after her appearance on the X Factor, Chloe added: 'I still really want to have a career, but I think it's in tatters now.'
