Don Cornelius Became a Television Star

Donald Cortez "Don" Cornelius (born September 27, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois) is an African-American television show host and producer who is best known as the creator of the nationally syndicated dance/music franchise, Soul Train, which he hosted from 1971-1993. After owning the program for its entire run, Cornelius sold the show to MadVision Entertainment in 2008.

Don Cornelius is the person who was in charge to host the Soul Train Awards 2010. 74-year-old Don Cornelius produced "Soul Train". The show started in 1971 and continued till 2006. Many people consider that the show of Don Cornelius helped provide African Americans additional charisma in the amusement business.

Don Cornelius did not forever stay attached to TV. Don Cornelius was an individual with an innate ability to be called a natural salesperson. Don Cornelius began his career in the insurance industry in 1950s. Don Cornelius also worked as a replacement disc jockey on a radio station. Afterward, Don Cornelius came to know that he has the ability and talent to mark his name in the entertainment industry.

After entering the entertainment industry, Don Cornelius got started with the Soul Train in August 1970. The show became a big hit and Don Cornelius gathered a lot of fame as a result.
