Shocked in the city: Sarah Jessica Parker ran out of her photo shoot after hearing a man had collapsed in the street in London today

There are many reasons why an A-list celebrity might call a halt to a photo shoot.

But there were no tantrums when Sarah Jessica Parker stormed out of her session in London today, as she was rushing to check how a man was after he collapsed.

The Sex and the City actress ran onto the street outside swanky London hotel Claridges after hearing the commotion when the unknown chap passed out.

Nosey Parker: Sarah could not drag herself away from the drama outside

The shocked star made her exit after hearing the wife of the man, who was just passing by, screaming for help.

Luckily the hotel security staff were on hand and were able to aid the gentleman.

Eventually the drama was over and the glamorous 46-year-old was able to get to business.

Sarah has been jetting around the world promoting her upcoming movie I Don't Know How She Does It.

City slicker: Sarah seemed to be having a great time in the English capital of London

And the fashion conscious actress has admitted her style icons are of English stock.

She revealed her favourites include the likes of the two Kates, Middleton and Moss.

She said she is very impressed with the way the 29-year-old Duchess of Cambridge, who is married to Prince William, and supermodel Moss, 37, dress.

The first waves club: Sarah was happy to greet fans as she got ready to leave the hotel

She said: 'So many. Ingrid Bergman & the way Kate Moss dresses & the Duchess of Cambridge.'

Sarah added that she hopes American designers will take a leaf from their British counterparts and take more risks.

Saluting the princess: Sarah has revealed the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is one of her style icons

She continued: 'British fashion is more risky but we have some emerging American designers that seem inspired in that direction.'

And Sarah certainly knows how to take a fashion risk.

She wore a dramatic Little Red Riding Hood-inspired strapless gown complete with cape for the premiere of her new comedy at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Moscow.
