Little black dress: Victoria Beckham shows off her pins in a ruffled black dress as she lunches at the Wolseley in Piccadilly yesterday

She's rarely seen out of her designer dresses and expensive high heels.

So after being voted the World's Most Glamorous Celebrity, Victoria Beckham showed exactly why she deserved the title as she lunched in London yesterday.

After flying in from Los Angeles on Tuesday, the mother-of-three hit Mayfair for lunch in a ruffled black mini-dress and nude ankle strap heels.

Appearing to have overcome her jetlag after the 10 and a half hour flight, the 36-year-old joined a friend for lunch at the lavish Wolseley restaurant in Piccadilly.


Beckham's arrival in the capital came as she beat a host of stars to the title of World's Most Glamorous Celebrity in a poll by cosmetics firm Max Factor.

The former Spice Girl had close competition from pregnant X Factor judge Dannii Minogue and Hollywood star Angelina Jolie, who ended up at two and three respectively.

A Max Factor spokesman said: 'Victoria Beckham has been gracing the fashion pages for years now.

'She never leaves home without being fully made-up and her signature glossy pout has become her calling card.

Meanwhile, her husband David was seen enjoying a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game with his producer friend Navin Narang.

Sitting in his coveted $2,200 courtside seat, David was seen cheering the Lakers as they played the Utah Jazz.

Earlier this week, Victoria missed out on the fashion event of the year as she failed to attend the Metropolitan Museum Of Art Costume Institute Gala in New York on Monday.

After visiting the Big Apple earlier last week, Beckham jetted back to LA to spend time with her injured husband and three sons before her current jaunt to her native England.

Pictured at Los Angeles' LAX on Monday, Victoria looked chic in a pair of black cropped trousers and sleeveless top from Goat and obligatory killer heels and sunglasses from her own autumn/winter 10 collection as she strutted through the terminal.

The former Spice Girl has dramatically reduced her jet set lifestyle in recent weeks after David's leg injury in March.


With David now back in California after his loan to AC Milan ending abruptly and being ruled out of the World Cup, the Beckhams have been revelling in the opportunity to spend more time together.

Last week, the couple spent several days in New York together, where they took in some art galleries and shopping.

David also appeared on daytime show The View and The Late Show With David Letterman.

During his appearance on The View - the U.S. version of Loose Women - David insisted there was no truth to the rumours the Beckhams were leaving the U.S.

He said: 'We hear that every week. We love England, it's where we was [sic] brought up, London is where we're both from, but this is a new phase of our life that we're really enjoying.

'We've lived in Los Angeles now for three years and we're so happy there.
'We're not going to be moving back at any time [soon].'
