While the pair may well work for the same lingerie line - there was no doubt that there was some hot competition between them.
And it appeared Brazilian model Alessandra, 28, won the contest, after stripping down to a sexy white bikini among an array of other skimpy swimwear numbers.
Meanwhile Australian star Miranda, who dates actor Orlando Bloom, was relatively covered up in comparison as she strutted around in a striped red dress.
She made a costume change into some white shorts and blue T-shirt later.
But the 26-year-old was left in the shade as Alessandra upped the ante in a multicoloured bikini and took to a surfboard for some more shots

The mother-of-one worked her magic in the beautiful Caribbean water as she and her friend Kerr were photographed for a new Victoria's Secret catalogue.
Keeping busy on the career front, Ambrosio displayed a design by Colcci last week at the Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Alessandra will be appearing in French Elle magazine in the coming months, along with her Victoria’s Secret duties
