Ambassador: Former Spice Girl Mel B hopes to be a role model for Britons wanting to get fit
She is renowned for her toned body and is preparing to host a new weight-loss reality TV show - so it's no surprise to see Mel C has thrown herself behind another fitness campaign.
The former Spice Girl showed off her buff figure in London today, where she launched International Fitness Week.
The 34-year-old is no stranger to exercise - she slimmed down by training for the U.S. show Dancing With The Stars and then released her DVD Totally Fit: Mel B.
She then famously flaunted her six-pack in a range of skimpy outfits when she took part in a raunchy Las Vegas burlesque show last year.
Mel B, who has been on a whirlwind trip to Frankfurt and Amsterdam as part of International Fitness Week, said she wanted to inspire people to make a healthy lifestyle change by finding out what kind of fitness activity best suited them
'I want to encourage everyone to find what works for them and make being active part of their lifestyle. It’s easier than you think to get totally fit and we will show you how,' she said.
Mel B, who was known as Scary Spice when she was part of the famous girl band, has recently been lined up to host the second series of Dance Your Ass Off, a successful show on Oprah Winfrey’s Oxygen channel in the U.S..

The singer, real name Melanie Brown, has a new six-bedroom hillside home in Los Angeles which she shares with her film producer husband, Stephen Belafonte and their children.
The eldest is Mel's daughter Phoenix, ten, from her brief marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar.
Stephen’s daughter Giselle, five, from a past relationship, also spends weekends with the couple, sharing a bedroom with Melanie’s younger daughter, Angel, three, whose father is Eddie Murphy.
Mel B and her bandmates Mel C, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell are also in talks to develop the Spice Girls musical for the West End..
It is being produced by the mastermind behind the phenomenal success of Mamma Mia!
The show Viva Forever - the title of a Spice Girls hit - is yet to be written but Judy Craymer, the main architect behind the stage show Mamma Mia!, said she expected it to be on the London stage within two or three years.
