'I'm 47, how am I supposed to look,' says Demi Moore after Twitter follower tells her she's looking old

Now THAT is a neck: Demi Moore had an unusual co-star during a photoshoot for the US edition of Harper's Bazaar, a big friendly giraffe, as shown by a picture she posted on Twitter

Demi Moore has been one of the most high-profile celebrities to adopt social networking site Twitter. But it seems that laying herself so open has its downside, as one of her 'followers' - fellow Twitter users who follow her daily tweets - blasted her for 'looking old'.

Twitter user knlr posted this response to a picture Demi posted recently: 'Sorry but, you look old... specially your neck and cheecks [sic] at the second shot... i'm really sorry.'

The actress has reportedly spent £20,000 in a bid to maintain an ageless face, not to mention a reported £180,000 on surgery for her legs, arms and body.

And she responded to the cruel tweet: 'I'm 47, how am I supposed to look?.'

Demi's followers were quick to rush to her defence.


One tweeted: 'Demi, you look great. So sad that some people have to put others down to try and feel good about themselves.'

While another put a link to a picture of the user, who was certainly in no position to criticise the still beautiful Demi.

However, luckily for her fans, it didn't put Demi off from posting more pictures of herself.

The Hollywood veteran who has starred in hits Ghost and GI Jane, shared top billing with a friendly giraffe while taking part in a shoot for the U.S edition of magazine Harper's Bazaar on Santa Monica Beach.

She tweeted: 'Had the priviledge [sic] of working with a giraffe yesterday he was beautiful gentle and so amazing!'

Demi has almost 2.4million followers on the social networking site.

She and actor husband Ashton Kutcher, 31, regularly use the site to talk to each another despite being yards away from one another in the Los Angeles house they share.

The pair have even written messages on their hands before posting photographs on Twitter.
