'What are you gonna do, Chris Brown me?,' the 'Stronger with Each Tear' singer reportedly challenged her husband after previously hitting him hard in the face.
Tuesday night, December 22 was supposed be a celebration for Mary J. Blige who held a release party for her "Stronger with Each Tear" album. But, someone got the punch in the face at the evening. The incident reportedly happened between the singer and her husband Kendu Isaacs.
"She turned to him and was screaming, 'You're not going to ruin my night'," a source told New York Post. "They got up in each other's faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face."
They were then whisked to a nearby club Pink which reportedly was closed at that time. "She was yelling at him, 'What are you gonna do, Chris Brown me?' Four of her bodyguards and two of the club's kept them apart," the source further testified.
The incident was said ending with Kendu being kicked out of the club. Mary also left the venue soon afterwards, creating an uncomfortable scene for the party's attendees, reportedly including Jay-Z, Beyonce Knowles and Busta Rhymes.
The cause of the altercation is still in question. Words are, Mary J. Blige was furious with Kendu Isaacs after he flirted with a waitress. Another rumor suggests the two started arguing after Kendu removed Mary's brother from the VIP section in favor of his favorite video vixens.
Amidst the sketchy details of the event leading to the heated argument, Mary's spokesperson Karynne Tencer told New York Daily News that there is no such drama between the singer and her husband. According to Karynne, what actually happened at that night is "her husband and her brother got into an altercation that turned into a fight. Mary went to break up the fight."
Karynne furthermore insisted "nobody was bleeding." The publicist added, "She never mentioned Chris Brown. Mary and Kendu went home together. They're as happy as can be."
