Gorgeous in garters Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen keeps her hosiery well hoisted

There was no chance of Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen letting things go on the slide as she stepped out in New York yesterday.

The blonde U.S. actress arrived on location to begin another day's filming for the hit show, with her stockings held firmly up with garters.

Taylor, 16, teamed the look with a short skirt, loose-fit T-shirt and flowing leather coat and a pair of boot heels.

She headed straight to her trailer where she changed into a pair of patterned fishnet tights and had her make-up done.

Taking to her Twitter account, Miss Momsen jokingly wrote this yesterday morning: 'Nice today...Sunny and 47, It’s 36 now...this report brought to you buy my dog’s steaming poop.'

She then added: 'I’m taking a vacation from tweeting!!!and not gonna follow some people. hit me up through my facebook people.'

Taylor, who plays Jenny Humphrey, was last week spotted shooting scenes with her onscreen father Matthew Settle.

The scenes will be screen in America in January and later next year in the UK on ITV2.

Other stars of the hit series include the likes of Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford.
