James, a TV personality in the U.S., was unashamedly proud of his 40-year-old wife, declaring: 'She deserves it more than anybody.
'I got teary eyed when she won. I'm so happy,' he told Us magazine.
On the Oprah Winfrey show Blind Side star Bullock returned the compliment, thanking her husband for putting up with her throughout the awards season.
'This is a man who works 12 hours a day, manual labour,' she said. 'I have to pull him out of bed… and say, "Can you try on the Dolce suit?"
'He's like, "Do I have to?" I'm like: "Yes. I don't want you to look like a bad waiter." He's amazing.'
