After her brief fling with Twilight star Taylor Lautner, it looks like Taylor Swift may have found love with another big teen heart-throb - Glee actor Cory Monteith.

Following weeks of internet rumours about their close friendship, the country singer, 20, was spotted hugging the Canadian star, 27, in a Los Angeles bowling alley last night.

Swift arrived at the Pins alley in Studio City with best friend, actress Selena Gomez, but spent most of the evening talking to Monteith as they bowled together.

Their decision to arrive and leave their apparent 'date' separately comes amid reports they are hiding the romance from Swift's protective manager mother Andrea.

After the phenomenal success of her last album Fearless and winning four Grammys in January, Andrea wanted Swift to stay focused on her music.

A source said: 'Andrea has told Taylor in no uncertain terms that she must put her career ahead of dating boys.

'Andrea, who has a firm grip on her daughter’s career and personal life, thinks Taylor has worked far too hard to let everything go to the wall for the sake of a boy.'

Swift looked like she having a girlie night out with fellow Tween idol Gomez, 17, when the pair first arrived at Pins.

The singer looked dressed to impress as she showed off her tanned legs in a pair of black shorts, grey T-shirt and a pair of black ballet pumps.

Once inside the alley, Swift spent most of her time talking to Monteith, before sharing a lingering hug with him after they finished their game.

Monteith was a relative unknown until he was plucked from obscurity last year to play singing jock Finn in hit musical TV show Glee.

In a recent interview, Monteith remained coy over romance rumours with Swift.
When asked about Swift recently, he said: 'Ah, I'm not gonna answer that.'

A recent report claimed Swift was trying to hide her new romance with Monteith from her mother.

A friend told the National Enquirer: 'Taylor is actually pretending not to be interested in Cory so her mother doesn't scare him off.

'Taylor's figured out she better not have any serious mother-daughter conversations about her love life or the relationship will be doomed from the get-go. Taylor really likes Cory, and she's telling friends she sees "real romantic possibilities" with him.'

Their apparent date last night comes two months after they were photographed together at the Grammys.

Swift split from Twilight heart-throb Lautner in December after a brief two month romance.

The couple started dating after playing high school sweethearts in romantic comedy Valentine's Day.

Swift also dated Jonas Brothers star Joe Jonas and wrote about their break-up on her song Forever & Always.
