Stating that 'Sin City 2' is 'a thought process', the star of the 'Machete' movie spills the possibility of 'Predators' going into production in about a month.
While questions are circling on the potential involvement of Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Predators", the first casting news gave out the name of Danny Trejo. Speaking to PunchDrunkCritics, the 65-year-old actor uncovered that he will follow up his "Machete" project with the reboot of the "Predator" series.
When asked whether he will do "Sin City 2" next, Trejo responded, "It's kind of in the works. We're going to do Predators next." He further elaborated his answer saying, "So Sin City's kind of... er... a thought process... We'll be doing Predator[s] I think in about a month." While he suggested his involvement in the reboot project, he didn't disclose on what role he'll be taking.
Back in mid-August, it was reported that the new extraterrestrial thriller film will begin shooting in late September and will make use of producer Robert Rodriguez's studio for the shooting. "Nimrod Antal is scheduled to being filming on Fox's reboot of 'Predators,' on Sept 28th at Robert Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios in Austin," Production Weekly tweeted at the time.
To be directed by "Vacancy" helmer Nimrod Antal, "Predators" is said to offer "a bold new chapter in the Predator universe". The story allegedly will deal with a very intense group of people stranded on a Predator planet discovering unspeakable horrors that are not always from outside their group. 20th Century Fox eyes to release the film on July 7, 2010.
Danny Trejo has appeared in many Hollywood movies and is known for his tough guy roles. His credits include "Con Air", "xXx", "Desperado 2: Once Upon a Time in Mexico" and "Anchorman". He will be seen taking on the titular character in Rodriguez's "Machete".
