Intense New Trailer for 'The Book of Eli'

Gary Oldman will stop at nothing to get his hands on the book providing knowledge that could redeem society, but Denzel Washington is built to kill to protect it.

Another new trailer for "The Book of Eli" has arrived. Debuted at Yahoo! Movies, this brand new promo video provides a deeper look into how far Denzel Washington's lone warrior Eli will go to protect the sole thing that can save
humanity. The two-minute plus trailer also shares a glance at the cast ensemble.

This post-apocalyptic drama film revolves around Eli whose destiny is to save humanity. He guards a mysterious book which provides knowledge that could redeem society. Making his way across the desolate wasteland of near-future America, he faces challenge as the despot of a small makeshift town is determined to take possession of the book.

Gary Oldman stars as villain Carnegie, Mila Kunis is Solara, Ray Stevenson plays an enforcer dispatched to kill Eli, and Jennifer Beals takes the role of the blind concubine of Carnegie and mother of Solara. Filmed in New Mexico, it will be opened in theaters across the U.S. January 15, 2010.
